Bentley has just announced the details of the new Flying Spur V8 that promises a more enjoyable driving experience than the current W12.
The new Bentley Flying Spur V8 is 100 kg lighter than the current model. The vehicle’s front-end weight is significantly reduced, making the control more flexible, while increasing the vehicle’s responsiveness.
Under the hood is still a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 like that of the Continental GT, producing 542 hp and 700 Nm. This V8 engine is equipped with a self-stop cylinder system, which saves fuel when the vehicle’s maximum power is not needed. Bentley says the new Flying Spur model can accelerate 0-96 km / h in 4 seconds, or 0-100 km / h in 4.1 seconds, and has a top speed of 318 km / h.
The new Flying Spur V8 comes with front and rear anti-roll bars, and optional Bentley 48 volt active anti-roll control.
Standard features include the adaptive 3-chamber air suspension system, brake traction direction control, and the Drive Dynamics Control dynamic steering system.
Car buyers have the option of an all-wheel drive system, which significantly increases highway stability and maneuverability in the city.
The new Flying Spur V8 will be available in 4 and 5 seats, with exclusive options for customers who want to personalize this super luxury sedan.
Buyers can now pre-order the new Bentley Flying Spur V8. Vehicles will be delivered from the end of this year in the UK and Europe markets. Other markets have to wait until early 2021.
