This is a very fast drag race and it is not easy to predict the outcome from the “carwow” team.
Red Bull dominated the 2011 F1 season with the RB7, winning 12 out of 19 races that year. So can that 10-year-old race car keep up with current super cars on the drag track? The host of the YouTube channel “carwow” wants to answer that question with the video below.
The RB7 is equipped with a 2.4-liter V8 engine, high rpm 18,000 rpm, producing 750 horsepower. Naturally, Red Bull’s Formula 1 racing car is very light in weight, thereby creating an impressive power/weight ratio.
In the video, one of the F1’s two rivals is the green Lamborghini Huracan without the rear bumper. As you can see, it looks like that because of the large turbocharger and extra pipes to make the 5.2-liter V10 engine produce up to 1,200 horsepower. Torque is also increased to 1,240 Nm compared to the modest 560 Nm of the factory standard configuration.
The other competitor is a Nissan GT-R NISMO painted black on the right side of the runway. It looks like a standard car but it is not. It is equipped with a 4.1-liter engine and upgraded turbochargers, resulting in a capacity of 1,300 hp and 1,290 Nm of torque. Therefore, this Japanese-origin car is also the heaviest one in this race.
With these specs, who do you think will win the ¼ mile (402 meters) race? Watch the video to see the results of each race situation
