More than 70 Bugatti cars were recalled because of an electronic balance system error and there is a risk of rupture of the steering shaft.
Bugatti faced a recall of 77 vehicles due to problems related to electronic systems and the risk of rupture of the steering shaft, the recall was issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Authority (NHTSA). The affected models are the Chiron, Chiron Sport and Divo.
NHTSA said that the aforementioned models produced in the 2017-2020 period had problems with the electronic system, causing the electronic stabilization system to not automatically return to default mode after the user turns off the vehicle.
This problem is not too serious, users just need to bring the car to Bugatti’s dealers to update the new software.
The second problem is the risk of breaking the left rear steering wheel, the two models affected are the Bugatti Chiron and the Divo. Hagerty news site said only 4 Chiron and Divo produced this year must be recalled because of this incident.
Bugatti will replace the new steering shaft on affected models, the full repair cost will be paid by the French automaker.
