Ford has just introduced the Everest BaseCamp 2021 in Australia. This is a special version of Everest with the number of 450 units. According to some sources, Ford is also preparing to launch this special edition in India.
Built from 2 Trend 3.2L 4 × 4 and 2.0L Bi-Turbo versions, Everest BaseCamp is priced from USD 47,350 to USD 48,450 . Compared to the standard car, the Everest BaseCamp is about USD 4,300 more expensive.
With a relatively large difference, Everest BaseCamp is equipped with an additional array of off-road accessories. The vehicle has a three-gas hood, 76 mm diameter front bumper, snorkel, LED light strip and a winch that can handle more than 3 tons of weight.
Compared to the standard Everest, the Everest BaseCamp features a “BaseCamp under the front door” badge, a painted gray grille, new front / rear underbody cladding and a gray six-spoke set of wheels.
In addition to Everest BaseCamp, Ford Australia also launched a rear-wheel drive version of the Everest Sport. Last year, the American automaker launched the Everest Sport with four-wheel drive. Regarding the engine, the rear-wheel drive version still uses the 2.0-liter twin-turbocharged engine of the 4-wheel drive version. This engine produces 210 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque.
Priced from $ 43,700, Everest Sport 2021 has a series of black painted details such as a new detailed grille, front / rear bumper, rear bumper, roof rails, rear mirror cladding.
The appearance of the Everest Sport is more aggressive with the bonnet with muscular embossing lines, and 20-inch alloy wheels. The Sport badge is mounted on the doors and side panels.
The interior of the Everest Sport is upholstered in black leather, with some blue trim elements. Notable equipment includes 8-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay / Android Auto integration, 9-speaker sound system, 8-way power driver’s seat.
