New generation Ford EcoSport revealed, launched in mid-2021

Ford EcoSport 2022 will own Mahindra’s 1.2L TGDI turbocharged petrol engine. The Ford EcoSport 2022 is scheduled to be released in mid-2021. Mahindra’s 1.2L TGDI turbocharged petrol engine will replace the 1.0L EcoBoost engine of the 2019 Ford EcoSport.

In terms of design, the biggest change easily identified on the new generation EcoSport is the grille at the front of the car. Specifically, the traditional polygonal-shaped grille with bright chrome bars is replaced by an extended design that spills over to the sides of the front bumper.

On the front of the car, Inside the grille are horizontal lines that are used to light up the front of the car. The headlamp cluster is arranged horizontally with 3 bulbs lined up with each other, above is a strip of LED daytime running lights horizontal spear.

In addition, there are various reports from India stating that the new generation Ford EcoSport compact SUV will use the Mahindra platform (under the Ford-Mahindra joint venture). The vehicle will be equipped with suspension system with more capacity to absorb tire irregularities.

In particular, running along the body is an embossed rib that extends the front wheel arches to the rear lights of the car. The door area is decorated with a silver trim, new dual-spoke leather alloy wheels and a rear-view mirror with a black plastic-clad frame.

However, many sources said that the car’s cockpit will be redesigned by the manufacturer and use more advanced materials. However, the multimedia system will only be an improved version of the SYNC 3 currently used by Ford, with a touchscreen and compatibility with Android Auto and Apple Cart Play.

Revealing performance, the new generation Ford EcoSport will be equipped with a 1.2L TGDI turbocharged petrol engine from Mahindra, replacing Ford’s current 1.0L EcoBoost engine.

In particular, at least in the versions that will be sold in Europe, the new Ford EcoSport must have a 1.5-liter diesel engine with a capacity of about 120 horsepower. Combined with the above engines is a 6-speed automatic or manual transmission and all-wheel drive is offered as an option.

According to the manufacturer’s plan, the car will launch to customers in mid-2021.
