2021 Honda Accord US Introducing

The 2021 Honda Accord is upgraded in appearance, equipped with and added a new version for the US market.

After more than 3 years of release, the 10th generation Honda Accord has just had its first upgrade. Upgraded versions of the D-class sedan have been introduced in the US market. New Accord updates focus on design, equipment and features to help this sedan compete better with the Toyota Camry and Hyundai Sonata. Two rivals of the Accord have been launched a new version in the past.

In 2021, the appearance of the Honda Accord is refined more masculine and powerful. Shaping the lights, the grille is no different, but the horizontal metal bars at the top of the car are now chrome plated. The LED fog light strip is replaced with a Projector bulb, the front bumper is also renewed sharper.

The rear section of the 2021 Honda Accord has a new feature that the rear bumper has a more minimalist design than before. The trapezoidal exhaust details are removed and replaced with 2 chromium arrays, the exhaust is hidden underneath. The design of the taillights, the fish-fin antenna and the reflective light arrays remains the same.

The body of the 2021 Honda Accord still has a coupe-like vibe with the C-pillar stretched to the tail. The chrome decorative details in the glass door frames, door handles and along the bottom of the body continue to be used by the manufacturer in the new model.

Honda says the new lighting system of the 2021 Honda Accord improves the beam distance and width, especially in high beam mode. Depending on the version that Honda offers 3 sizes from 17 to 19 inch wheels, the wheels have a new eye-catching design than before.

2021 Honda Accord in the US is sold in LX, Sport, Sport SE, EX-L, Touring 2.0T, Hybrid, Hybrid EX, Hybrid EX-L and Hybrid Touring variants. In particular, the new Sport SE is added to replace the previous EX model.

The interior of the 2021 Honda Accord remains the same design as the predecessor. Upgrades are in the comfort and safety equipment list on some high-end versions.

Accordingly, the two most advanced models, Hybrid EX-L and Hybrid Touring, now feature wireless Apple CarPlay / Android Auto connectivity. In addition, the front USB connector is rearranged for more convenience and the second row has an additional USB port.

With the Honda Sensing safety package, the Touring 2.0T and Hybrid Touring versions add a low-speed brake control function, which helps to limit collision situations at low speeds or when reversing parking. Adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist have been tweaked.

From the standard LX to EX-L model, Honda equips the 2021 Honda Accordwith a 1.5L I4 turbocharged engine, a CVT gearbox, with a capacity of 192 hp and 260 Nm torque. The Accord Touring 2.0T variant uses a 2.0L VTEC Turbo engine for 252 hp capacity and 370 Nm torque, accompanied by a 10-speed automatic transmission.

With the option of a hybrid engine, the 2021 Honda Accord applies the Intelligent Multi-Mode Drive (i-MMD) platform. With the 2.0L I4 petrol engine and the electric motor, the total capacity reaches 212 hp and the torque is at 315 Nm. Vehicles equipped with E-CVT gearbox.

Honda has started accepting pre-orders for the 2021 Accord in the US and is expected to ship from the end of this month. Prices start from $ 24,770 to $ 36,240, prices excluding costs for additional equipment options.
