New generation Hyundai Elantra has 7 versions in the US, comes with 3 engine options.
Launched in March, the new generation Hyundai Elantra has just announced the detailed prices of the versions. In the US, this sedan is priced from US $ 19,650. The standard version Elantra SE is equipped with 15-inch alloy wheels and projector lighting system.
Inside, the Elantra SE is quite fully equipped, even if it’s just the standard version. The car has an electric window, an 8-inch infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto / Apple CarPlay connectivity, a 4-speaker sound system and a 4.2-inch multi-information screen on the dashboard.
Assistive technologies on the Elantra SE include cruise control, forward collision warning with integrated pedestrian detection, lane keeping assist, anti-glare assist lights, blind spot warning, vehicle warning cut across the rear and assist in safe exit.
Powering the car is a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 147 horsepower and 179 Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the front axle via a CVT intelligent variable transmission. According to Hyundai, this engine has a fuel consumption of about 6.36 liters / 100 km.
Priced at $ 20,900, the Elantra SEL version comes with 16-inch alloy wheels, push-button ignition, automatic 2-zone air conditioning, 6-speaker sound system, SiriusXM satellite radio and Blue Link connectivity.
Customers can optionally add the Convenience Package to Elantra SEL. This package adds a leather steering wheel, wireless charging, heated front seats, a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel. New technologies include adaptive cruise control with a stop / go feature and an upgraded front crash avoidance system.
With the Premium Package, the SEL version is equipped with dark chrome exterior details, LED taillights, and 17-inch alloy wheels. Some of the additions on the inside include a sunroof, electric driver’s seat, digital key technology and Bose’s eight-speaker sound system.
Elantra Limited owns the equipment of the two above versions, combining LED lighting, leather seats and a 10.25-inch infotainment screen. The car is also equipped with an automatic anti-glare rearview mirror, warning safe distance when reversing, assist to avoid collision when reversing and assist driving on the highway.
In addition, Hyundai also added hybrid engine versions for the Elantra SEL and Limited. These two versions are equipped with a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine, electric motor and 1.32 kWh battery pack. This engine produces 139 hp and 264 Nm of torque. Thanks to the use of a hybrid engine, the fuel consumption on the combined roads of these two versions is only 4.3 liters / 100 km.
As introduced earlier, the Elantra N Line sports version was also released. The Elantra N Line has a sportier look, high-performance brakes and 18-inch alloy wheels. Under the bonnet is a 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine producing 201 horsepower and 264 Nm of torque. The sporty version of the Elantra comes with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
