In Australia. Kia Sedona has 2 engine options
Kia Carnival 2021 has just been introduced in Australia, five months after the model was first introduced in Korea. In some markets, Carnival is also known as Sedona.
Like Sorento, Carnival 2021 has a more superficial and square design. The new model MPV has dimensions of length x width x height of 5,115 x 1,985 x 1,755 (mm) respectively, wheelbase reaches 3,060 mm. Compared to the previous generation, the 2021 Carnival is 40 mm longer in overall length and 30 mm in wheelbase.
In the new generation, the Carnival is completely changed in style. At the front, the tiger nose grille is enlarged, connected to the front light system. The LED lighting system is also redesigned with a folded daylight strip.
At the rear, the 2021 Carnival has LED taillights that stretch across the body width – this is a common design on modern models. Meanwhile, the turn indicator light was moved to near the rear bumper. The vehicle has a sports spoiler with integrated brake lights and a fish-fin antenna.
Depending on the market, Carnival will come in 7-seater, 8-seat or 11-seat configurations. In a 7-seat configuration, the middle row of the car is a business seat. The luggage compartment has a capacity of more than 2,900 liters.
Some of the amenities inside the car include the dashboard and 12.3-inch infotainment screen, Android Auto / Apple CarPlay connectivity, Bose 12-speaker sound system, 6 USB ports, interior backlighting, sunroof…
In the international market, the Kia Carnival 2021 uses a 2.2-liter 4-cylinder diesel engine that produces 198 hp at 3,800 rpm and 440 Nm of torque at 1,750-2,750 rpm.
The Australian market has a 3.5-liter V6 petrol engine that produces 290 hp and 355 Nm of torque. Both engines come with an 8-speed automatic transmission and a front-wheel drive system.
Carnival 2021 has 4 versions including S, Si, SLi and Platinum. The versions are priced from $ 38,760 to $ 52,300 for the petrol engine variant. The diesel-powered versions will cost more than $ 2,000.
