2021 Mazda3 in Japan is upgraded with engine, performance and safety equipment.
Mazda Japan has just released information about the 2021 Mazda3. The interior / exterior design of the car has not changed significantly. The most prominent upgrade on the C-class is the e-SkyActiv-X engine with M Hybrid technology (mild-hybrid, mild hybrid) with better parameters than the previous model.
Specifically, the 2.0L SkyActiv-X petrol engine is enhanced with the ignition control system (SPCCI). Maximum power is nearly 188 hp at 6,000 rpm and maximum torque at 240 Nm at 4,500 rpm. This increases by about 10 hp (8 kW) and 16 Nm.
At the same time, Mazda3 models using a 1.8L SkyActiv-D diesel engine have also improved their performance. Maximum capacity increases by about 13.8 hp, reaching 128 hp, while the maximum torque remains the same at 270 Nm.
Particularly for customers who love to drive, the Japanese automaker brings the option of a 6-speed manual transmission back to the version equipped with the SkyActiv-G 2.0L petrol engine. A 6-speed automatic transmission is standard equipment of the Mazda3 2021.
The manufacturer says the 4th generation Mazda3’s suspension system is tweaked to increase the comfort and comfort of passengers during travel, while improving the driver’s handling.
In terms of safety, the sedan and hatchback variants of the Mazda3 have better autonomy with Cruising & Traffic Support (CTS) Level 2. Lane Keeping Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control CTS Level 2 has improved sensitivity as well as a higher working speed range than before.
Similar to a few other markets, the Mazda3 also introduced a 100th anniversary version for the Mazda3. With the full name 100th Anniversary Special Commemorative Car 2020 World Car Design of the Year, the special Mazda3 model comes in Soul Red Crystal Metallic paint.
The starting price of the 2021 Mazda3 in Japan is more than 2.22 million yen, equivalent to $ 21,400.
