The iconic SUV line – the “king of the terrain” Mercedes-Benz G-Class has reached a milestone when the 400,000th car rolled off the production line at the Magna Steyr plant in Graz, Austria.

The new generation Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV (W464) started production in 2018, a few months ago, the G-Class was upgraded with more equipment. Customers can customize their G-Class with a personalized program called “G manufaktur”.
This “G manufaktur” program allows customers to personalize the vehicle in a variety of ways, including choosing a unique exterior color or adding more equipment than a standard vehicle. Mercedes-Benz said that about 60% of all customers who order the G-Class choose to participate in the personalized program “G manufaktur”.
The Mercedes-Benz G-Class is the oldest and iconic SUV line of the German automaker. The G-Class line was born in 1972 as a concept car when Daimler-Benz collaborated with Steyr-Daimler-Puch.
