2021 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class will have 2 models, S 580 4Matic and S 650. The S 580 4Matic version is equipped with a powerful 496 hp twin-turbocharged V8 engine, accompanied by a 48-volt light hybrid system. 21 more horsepower. The S 650 version uses a 621 horsepower twin-turbocharged 6.0L V12 engine, combined with a 4-wheel drive system.
In the future, the 2021 Maybach S-Class will add a plug-in hybrid version, which combines a 3.0-liter engine and an electric motor, producing a total output of 503 hp.
The new Maybach S-Class is equipped with a new air suspension with a special Maybach mode. It feels smoother than the standard S-Class by adjusting the accelerator pedal delay, starting in second gear and shifting earlier gears.
In particular, Mercedes also equips this luxury car with an active rear steering system, which enables the rear wheel to drive 10 degrees.
The 2021 Maybach S-Class is the first Maybach to be equipped with an electrically opened / closed rear door.
The car also adds an MBUX Interior Assist system that allows the rear occupants to control the reading lights and sunshades with gestures. This system also has the ability to automatically turn on interior lights when it detects a user has moved into that area.
Mercedes said the 2021 Maybach S-Class will focus on the main markets of China, South Korea, Russia, the US and Germany. Vehicles will be sold from the end of this year.
