Nissan showcased the Nissan GT-R Nismo 2022 with an improved appearance. Although there are design upgrades, Nissan maintains the overall styling of the car. The car is equipped with a 3.8L twin-turbocharged V6 engine, 592 horsepower.
The generation Nissan GT-R R35 seems not to reach the end of its life cycle, as the Japanese automaker continues to release the GT-R Nismo 2022 version.
This sports car is expected to be released in Japan in October. The price of the GT-R Nismo will be announced on the day of launch.
The Nissan GT-R Nismo 2022 features a Nismo Steath Gray exterior paint, inspired by the company’s racing car. The hood is made from exclusively glossy carbon fiber, which makes the roof 100 g lighter than a conventional hood.
This special edition is equipped with 20-inch cast aluminum wheels with red trim, in harmony with the red stripes around the body. Some other parts on the car are also made from carbon fiber such as the capo, front bumper, grille, side panels, air vents and rear spoiler.
The new Nissan logo is mounted on the rear of the car and on the wheels, since this is a GT-R, there is no brand logo on the front and steering wheel.
The interior of the car has not changed too much. Cabin is coordinated in red color. Leather seats combined with felt. The center console and the sports steering wheel are upholstered in premium suede.
The Nissan GT-R Nismo 2022 still uses a 3.8L twin-turbocharged V6, with a GT3 racing turbocharger. This engine block produces a maximum power of 592 hp and 652 Nm of torque. 6-speed dual-clutch transmission, 4-wheel drive system.
Nissan GT-R Nismo 2022 is equipped with large brakes with Brembo brake calipers and brake disc made of carbon ceramic, 410 mm diameter front and 390 mm rear. It is the largest brake system ever fitted on a Japanese sports car.
Especially, the engine components have increased accuracy and weight balance, for faster revs than turbo spooling. Each engine is handcrafted by Takumi engineers and has an exclusive color certification plate attached.
