Porsche says the use of the turbocharged body makes the car 28 mm wider, while the vehicle incorporates a larger rear spoiler and a splitter on the front, and the front end is wider than before thanks to the presence of a flared wheel arch. . Porsche says the new car generates significantly more downforce than its predecessor.
One of the most striking features of the new 911 GT3 Cup is its optimized aerodynamics and overall more muscular and impressive appearance. This is in part thanks to the lightweight bodywork used for the first time in Cup vehicles. With a total width of 1,902 mm, the car exceeds the rear width of the previous model by 28 mm. Thanks to the addition of flared fenders, the new 911 GT3 Cup is now 1,920 mm on the front axle. This opens the door for a harmonious combination of wheels with 12-inch wide rims on the front and 13 inches on the rear. This is specific to GT racing and has a positive effect on the handling and driving ability of the racing car.
Powering the new 911 GT3 Cup is a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated 6-cylinder engine with dry lubricating oil, producing 510 hp at 8,400 rpm and 470 Nm of torque at 6,150 rpm and rpm to 8,750 rpm. Combined with this engine is an s6-speed gearbox. The vehicle comes with 3 different exhaust systems available depending on the race series.
Michael Dreiser, Porsche Motorsport Sales Manager, said: “The new 911 GT3 Cup now begins a new chapter. Our goal is to cross the 5,000 mark in the coming years. Like its predecessor, it will also support a whole new generation of talented racers on their way to professional motorsports around the world. “
