All New Cupra Ateca FULL REVIEW – 2022

Cupra Ateca has been upgraded inside and out in 2021.

The hot Cupra Ateca model has been subtly redesigned. The front of the car has been refreshed the most.
The car gets a new headlight and fog lights design, the front bumper is reshaped with aluminum diffuser and a new angled grille. This design is also seen on the new large SUV Tarraco and Leon – further adorned with dark chrome trim to distinguish the Cupra variant.

Other changes include an aluminum finish for the side bezels, mirrors and roof rails, as well as the Cupra logo spotlights on the floor and dynamic rear indicator lights. The car has 19-inch alloy wheels, customers can choose from a larger option. New bumper design at each end makes Ateca 10 mm longer than before.

Like the current car, a standout quad exhaust showcases the Cupra’s Ateca as the performance variant.

The Ateca retains its EA888 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine and seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, but a new hydraulic multi-disc traction system is up front. The vehicle has an adaptive allocation system that changes the power supply on all four wheels according to the level of traction. That reduces the 0-62mph acceleration time down from 5.2 seconds to 4.9 seconds. Top speed remains at 153mph.

Inside, the car comes with standard Alcantara sports seats, lights and USB ports, new ‘microsuede’ steering wheel, aluminum pedals. The Ateca has the infotainment touchscreen that has also been expanded from 8.0 inches to 9.2 inches. A new voice control function is also used to navigate the infotainment menus.

In-car safety features include predictive adaptive cruise control, emergency assistance, and exit assist, helping to detect obstacles when leaving a parking space.

The Cupra Ateca upgrade along with the new hot hatch model Cupra Leon and the performance SUV Formentor are the models that Cupra recently launched.
