Rumors suggest that HMD Global is preparing to revive two classic Nokia phones 6300 and 8000, but with more modern features than the original.
HMD Global hopes to rekindle the nostalgia of those who love old Nokia mobile products. Nokia 6300 is one of two models capable of “revival”. With its classic design and solid stainless steel body, the Nokia 6300 was quite popular with business people at the time of its launch and in the mid-range segment.
The other appears to be inspired only by the Nokia 8000 series. It is famous for its sliding keyboard and keyboard cover as well as finishing quality. For example, Nokia 8910i uses titanium body, 8000 Gold Arte is inlaid with 18 karat gold, while Sapphire Arte is inlaid with gemstones … These were all luxury machines before Vertu was born.
It is not clear whether the Nokia 6300 and Nokia 8000 will return to the KaiOS operating system like the current models of HMD Global or not. One thing is for sure, though, is that they’re smarter than the originals. Both are equipped with 4G LTE connectivity and could be officially available in the next few weeks.
