2023 Hyundai Grandeur Interior, competing with Toyota Avalon

It is expected that Hyundai Grandeur 2023 will be officially launched in the Korean market in November this year.

The 6th generation Hyundai Grandeur has been on the market since 2016 as a more luxurious and premium midsize sedan than its “brother” Sonata. After 6 years, this luxury sedan is about to be added a new generation. Before that time, images of the interior of the Hyundai Grandeur 2023 were leaked.

According to rumors, the interior design of the 2023 Hyundai Grandeur will be inspired by the Heritage Grandeur concept car. This is also the model used by Hyundai to develop the first-generation Grandeur, launched in 1992. The leaked images of the 2023 Hyundai Grandeur have proven this rumor to be accurate.

Inside this D-size sedan, we can see a steering wheel like the first generation Hyundai Grandeur. Of course, the steering wheel of the car has been improved in a modern style to be more modern. Meanwhile, the gearshift button of the 6th generation Hyundai Grandeur is converted to a lever placed on the steering column like the Ioniq 5.

And yet, Hyundai Grandeur 2023 is also equipped with a digital dashboard and infotainment screen connected to one another, located independently on the dashboard. In addition, there are aluminum buttons to adjust the navigation system as well as the infotainment system. Underneath there is also a touch screen to adjust the air conditioning system, wireless smartphone charger and storage compartment.

Not inferior to luxury cars, Hyundai Grandeur 2023 also has a glass roof that can be changed from transparent to opaque to block light and heat. Hyundai calls this glass roof the Magic Roof.

According to rumors, the 7th generation Hyundai Grandeur will have a larger size with an increase in length from 4,930 mm to 5,015 mm, promising to bring a more spacious interior to the car. This sedan will have a more luxurious 5-seater or 4-seater interior with 2 business seats in the back.

Similar to the interior, the exterior of this luxury sedan also has design details reminiscent of the old Hyundai Grandeur. This can be seen through the window glass like the first generation Hyundai Grandeur. Meanwhile, the frameless doors and rearview mirror with a flag-like design are inspired by the 3rd generation Hyundai Grandeur.

On the front of the car, the Hyundai Grandeur 2023 is equipped with a grille with a 3-dimensional mesh like the Staria large MPV model. This grille is quite large, occupying most of the area of the front of the car. Besides, the front light system is divided into 2 floors with LED daytime running lights above and headlights placed vertically below.

There is no information about the powertrain of the 2023 Hyundai Grandeur. However, it would not be surprising if this model shares the engine with the Kia K8. The reason is that these two models are developed on the same platform.

In the Korean market, Kia K8 2022 has a total of 4 engine types. The first is a 4-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine with a capacity of 2.5L, producing a maximum capacity of 198 horsepower and maximum torque of 248 Nm. The second is a naturally aspirated, 3.5L Smartstream gasoline engine, producing a maximum capacity of 300 horsepower and maximum torque of 359 Nm. The third is a hybrid powertrain with a turbocharged petrol engine, 1.6L capacity, with a total capacity of 230 horsepower. Finally, there is an LPi liquefied-fuel engine with a capacity of 3.5L and a maximum capacity of 240 horsepower and maximum torque of 314 Nm.

Except for the hybrid version, every engine of the new Kia K8 comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission. In addition, this sedan is also equipped with AWD all-wheel drive system.
