All New BMW M440i – The car for performance and technology enthusiasts – 2022

It’s been two years since BMW completely redesigned its legendary 3 Series sedan. Now, the company has refurbished the 4 Series Coupe and the latest, coolest and hottest version is here, the new BMW M440i xDrive 2021.

Over the past few years, German automaker M Division’s internal tuning department has demonstrated its magical presence on many BMW models, adding considerable power and handling to more car models. As a result, the M Performance range and SUVs are expanding, now including about 10 different vehicles, including the M550i, X5 M50i and X3 M40i. They are not heavy M machines like the M2, M3 and M5, but they offer significantly higher speeds than the German brand’s mainstream models. The new M440i xDrive competes with the Audi S5, Lexus RC F and Mercedes-Benz AMG C 43 Coupe.

BMW engineers have appreciated the performance of the BMW M440i xDrive 2020 on many tracks, including the legendary German Nurburgring, considered by many to be dangerous in the world. That effort created a car that was well worth driving. The new M440i xDrive not only offers significantly more horsepower than the standard 430i, but also has outstanding handling.

Under the hood of the M440i is one of the coolest turbocharged engines in the world: BMW’s 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder with direct fuel injection and mild assistance from a 48-volt hybrid system. Producing 382 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque, this is the same engine used in the M340i and several other models.

Like the M340i, this coupe can be driven everyday in total comfort, but its suspension is firmly tuned. The standard M Sport suspension comes with stiffer springs, stiffer bushes and brackets, stiffer anti-roll bars, and larger sonic wheels at the front.

The balance for solid ride quality is the M440i’s astonishing handling. This year, BMW also lowered the center of gravity of the coupe, stretched the wheelbase and widened the suspension to increase traction and stability, and you can feel it in handling. precise and agile management. Braking by a large blue brake caliper with an M logo, BMW’s impressive M Sport brakes are standard on the M440i.

We agree with BMW when it calls the M440i 2021’s cabin a “premium driver-focused cockpit”. Because it’s basically been raised from the M340i sedan. While the design isn’t as exciting as the interior of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, it’s clean and modern with lots of aluminum trim and piano black surfaces.

The BMW driver’s seat is comfortable and the three-spoke steering wheel is wrapped in soft leather. The coupe’s new digital gauge cluster is a bit messy, but it stands out visually and its many features can be configured to your liking. The latest version of BMW’s iDrive infotainment system can be easily navigated using the large 10.25-inch touchscreen display.

There is also plenty of storage space in the interior of the BMW. The M440i has a sizable center console barrel, and its door pockets are large enough to be useful and have room for water bottles.

BMW has completely expanded the coupe’s list of standard high-tech safety systems. Vehicles now have lane departure warning with steering correction, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection and automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear vehicle warning, automatic headlights and speed limit. In the past, most of these systems were either unavailable or for additional fees. Optional systems include adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and cross-vehicle alert with collision avoidance.
