VIDEO: BMW M4 CS F82 Generation by DPCcars
In early 2017, BMW announced M4 CS in limited run of 3,000 units globally. The M4 CS sits between the M4 Competition Package and the M4 GTS. The M4 CS utilises the same engine as the standard M4 which generates 338 kW (460 PS; 453 hp) and 600 N⋅m (443 lb⋅ft) of torque.
The M4 CS still relies on the 3-liter, twin-turbo inline-6. It delivers 10 horsepower more than with the Competition Pack version, i.e. 460 horsepower at 6,250 rpm. The torque increases by 50 Nm to reach 600 Nm, between 4,000 and 5,380 rpm. Unlike the M4 GTS, the M4 CS does not use the water injection system. This does not prevent it from taking on board all the technological equipment of BMW: variable Valvetronic distribution, continuously variable camshaft timing, double Vanos. Other advantages of this engine: it can reach the high speed of 7600 rpm and it is particularly economical. Its official consumption does not exceed 8.4 l / 100 km, which represents CO2 emissions of 197 g / km. The 6-cylinder is mated to a DKG 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It guarantees a 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.9 seconds.
