On October 26, the planned Chevrolet Corvette Z06 2023 will make its full debut. And today, Chevy will give us a preview of the performance car’s exterior design. With the new design the car is even more powerful.
Not seeing big wings make customers feel that the big wing will be part of an optional performance package, though the regular Z06 should offer plenty of it. The new Z06 will be powered by a naturally aspirated 5.5-liter flat-plane-crank V-8 that should rev to between 8500 and 9000 rpm, make over 600 horsepower, and use an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It could produce 617 horsepower (460 kilowatts). Power will route to the wheels through a Tremec-sourced transmission.
The latest photo from Chevy revealing a new fascia, unique wheels, and other minor tweaks, a new grille opening, tweaked intake designs, and a more aggressive front splitter. New rear quarter panels tweak the side air intakes’ design along the side, further enhanced by a new door sill piece.
All the details about the 2023 Corvette Z06 car will be revealed by Chevy on Tuesday, October 26. Powertrain details are still a mystery, we don’t expect any significant interior upgrades. Because Chevy is calling the Z06 a 2023 model, this tells us that the car won’t arrive at dealer lots anytime soon. Chevy will reveal the model’s availability this fall.
