A single-cabin Ford Ranger with a customizable rear body has just been introduced in Europe.
Ford Ranger in the past few years has become a strategic model of the American car manufacturer globally. In Brazil, the Ford Ranger recently received a new appearance upgrade package, while the 2021 facelift version in the Thai market was also introduced in early November.
In Europe, Ford has just introduced a special variant of the Ranger. Specifically, the rear body of this version will be customized so that the Ford Ranger becomes a specialized truck and can serve a variety of uses.
The American pickup model has a single cabin with 2 seats. Depending on the needs, the rear body-on-frame trapezoidal chassis will be designed to create Ranger models for use in the construction, service, forestry, military and rescue sectors.
The mid-size pickup uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter EcoBlue diesel engine, for a maximum capacity of 170 hp and maximum torque of 420 Nm. The power will be transmitted to the 4-wheel drive system via a 6-speed manual transmission. To increase traction, customers can purchase an electronic lock and off-road tire rear differential package.
This Ford Ranger variant is expected to go on sale in January 2021. The starting price has not been announced by the manufacturer.
