Honda Civic Sedan 2022 has just been introduced with 4 versions including LX, Sport, EX and Touring, but the price has not been revealed.
Honda has just launched the all-new 11th generation Civic Sedan. Vehicles fully equipped with new technologies such as digital instrument cluster, Bose sound system. Exterior and interior design both have significant changes.
Honda tried to simplify the look of the Civic inside and out. To do that, this sedan goes back to the original design philosophy that made it successful in the 1970s, the Man Maximum / Machine Minimum.
Honda Civic 2022 has a body design “thin and light” and more advanced than the previous generation. The windshield columns have been moved back by 50 mm, making the hood look longer. The rearview mirror is placed at the door instead of where the A pillar. The LED taillights are clawed wide to the sides to create a superficial look. New-generation Civic has a total of 8 exterior colors, including 3 completely new colors: meteor gray, Sonic pearl gray and Morning Mist metallic blue.
Moving into the cabin, Honda Civic 2022 uses a 10.2-inch all-digital dashboard and a 7-inch infotainment screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard equipment. Customers can also opt for a 9-inch screen. In particular, the Touring version has additional Qi wireless charging for smartphones.
All seats on the Honda Civic 2022 are Body Stabilizing Seat to help the driver and passengers feel more comfortable. This chair has a new frame. The bottom is wider, the cushion is thicker, the backrest is raised to increase the support for the back and pelvis area of the person sitting.
The 11th generation Civic Sedan still uses a physical button to control the cylinder and volume. For the first time in history, this model has up to 12 Bose speakers. Honda also added a 0.8-inch finger placement at the bottom of the touchscreen to make it a little easier to use. The width of the dashboard has a honeycomb mesh section to help create a highlight in the cabin compartment.
The wheelbase of the Honda Civic 2022 increases by 35.5 mm, contributing to better stability and smoother driving. Although increasing the length and width, thanks to the use of high-strength steel and suitable aluminum, the rigidity of the chassis has been improved by 8%.
In terms of performance, the LX, Sport Honda Civic Sedan 2022 uses a 2-liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder engine. This engine produces a maximum capacity of 158 hp at 6,500 rpm, maximum torque of 187 Nm at 4,200 rpm.
Meanwhile, the EX and Touring versions use a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine for 180 horsepower and 240 Nm of torque. Both engines use a CVT gearbox with less friction adjustment. In addition to the Normal and Eco driving modes, the new Civic also has a Sport mode.
Honda Civic 2022 has up to 10 airbags with new technology as found in Acura TLX and MDX. In it, the front airbags help lift and hold the head to limit collision damage.
Honda Sensing is standard equipment on the Honda Civic 2022. This safety package with a busier camera, software and a new processor allows better pedestrian and bicycle identification. At the same time, this sedan also added a steering assistance system in traffic jam, softer braking when using adaptive cruise control, and a more sensitive lane keeping assist system.
