Not officially launched in Southeast Asia, but Hyundai Creta 2022 has completely revealed with attractive design and equipment.
As planned, Hyundai Creta 2022 will be officially launched at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2021, opening tomorrow, November 10. Before that time, Hyundai could not keep the complete design of this B-class SUV a secret because leaked images of Creta 2022 were spread online.
True to previous information, Hyundai Creta 2022 has an exterior design like a miniature version of the new generation Tucson. The reason is that this B-size SUV also applies the same Sensuous Sportiness design language as Tucson, Santa Cruz and Custo.
On the front of the car, Hyundai Creta 2022 has a new borderless grille design and black paint. This grille integrates LED daytime running lights with a geometric design called “Parametric Hidden Lights”. Lying on either side of the grille is a headlight cluster with a dark cover, placed deep in a rectangular recess. In addition, this B-sized SUV also has thick silver cladding, surrounding the central air cavity, a new front bumper and a “muscular” bonnet.
Meanwhile, the design of the chassis of the Hyundai Creta 2022 is not much different from the old version, except for the new set of wheels. This set of rims has a 5-spoke double-spoke design and is painted in 2 sporty colors. Besides, there is a black plastic body brace and silver trim underneath the door.
Behind, Hyundai Creta 2022 is equipped with LED taillights like the old version, but not connected by a light strip in the middle. That’s not to mention the roof spoiler with integrated overhead brake lights, shark fin antenna and silver cladding surrounding the fake air vents in the rear bumper.
Stepping inside the Hyundai Creta 2022, the driver will see many new equipment such as a digital dashboard with a 10.25-inch LCD color screen behind the steering wheel, which can change the interface according to 4 driving modes, including Eco, Normal, Sport and Smart.
Next is the touchscreen infotainment screen, Bose sound system and Panorama panoramic sunroof. In addition, the car also has a remote start/stop feature via the Hyundai BlueLink application on smartphones.
Hyundai Creta 2022 also has a front seat cooling feature, an armrest with a small screen, 2 cup holders in the rear armrest and a beverage cooler.
In the Indonesian market, Hyundai Creta 2022 is expected to have both 5-seater and 7-seat versions. However, the 7-seat version is likely to have a size that is not too different from the 5-seat version, similar to the case of Kia Sonet in Indonesia.
Underneath the bonnet of the Hyundai Creta 2022 in the Indonesian market is a 4-cylinder, naturally aspirated, 1.5L petrol engine block with a maximum capacity of 114 horsepower and maximum torque of 142 horsepower. Nm.
In particular, Hyundai Creta 2022 also adds ADAS active safety technology package in the high-end version, including a new Lane Driving Assist feature like Tucson. This feature’s on/off button is integrated on the car’s steering wheel. The system will use cameras and road markings to put the vehicle in the middle of the lane during operation.
Currently, the price of Hyundai Creta 2022 in Indonesia has not been disclosed. Just know that the car will be assembled in Indonesia and start delivering to customers in this market early next year.
