Koenigsegg used a special test for Regera before delivering the car

The Koenigsegg automaker has put in place strict product quality control methods for the Regera model. Accordingly, every Regera is rated for the actual acceleration to 300 km / h before leaving the factory

In fact, Pre-Delivery Tests is a step any manufacturer has to do before delivering vehicles to their owners. For super car companies, this stage includes many different tests, for example Bugatti such as bringing Divo into the airport to test maximum speed before running it on passes and highways. The rival of the French supercar maker, Koenigsegg, also has a very specific test method for the Regera hybrid hypercar.

Specifically, Koenigsegg’s official information page on the social network Facebook reposted a record clip of accelerating to 300 km / h from the stationary position of the Regera model created last year. Not only that, the status line also shows that, although the record has been verified, every Regera that reaches the customer has been tested by the company. This is also how the Swedish supercar maker checks its products before their owners receive them.

In the Koenigsegg product line, the Koenigsegg Regera is the first hybrid car of this hypercar and it is also holding its record 0 – 400 – 0 km / h with a time to complete this challenge of 31.4 seconds. . In that record, Regera has the ability to accelerate to 300 km / h in just 11.65 seconds, faster than both the One: 1 and the Agera RS although this car is much heavier.

In terms of engine, Koenigsegg uses a hybrid drive system with V8 petrol engine, 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged capacity, produces a maximum capacity of 1,100 horsepower, combined with three electric motors for a total capacity of up to 1,500 horsepower. Koenigsegg developed the Regera Direct Drive (KDD) gearbox with a single gear, connecting the crankshaft and the drivetrain. At speeds below 48 km / h, the electric motors will support the internal combustion engine to help the car move smoother. The car is also equipped with a gear switch, but this pad only plays a simulation role for a 7-speed automatic transmission.

Therefore, the Koenigsegg Regera is capable of accelerating to 100 km / h in just 2.8 seconds and it takes only 22.82 seconds to reach 400 km / h before 8.84 seconds to brake from the aforementioned speed back. stationary position. The maximum speed that this model can reach at 420 km / h. In full electric mode, the car can travel a distance of about 35 km.

Koenigsegg only produced 80 Regera cars and it took three years to complete before starting to deliver to customers in 2019. The price of this car is above 1.9 million USD, excluding the optional retrofit.
