Lexus LC is one of the best-designed cars on the market today, so the Japanese automaker is always looking for ways to exploit sales for this popular product line.
Lexus has introduced a new version for Lexus LC, LC Aviation – created based on the requirements and wishes of Japanese customers. Aviation is offered only on the top two LC 500 and LC 500h models.
Lexus LC Aviations are easily distinguished from the regular LC models thanks to the beautiful rear spoiler made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic. The car was entirely handcrafted by a team of craftsmen who built Lexus LFA’s flagship, even with the participation of 2017 Red Bull Air Race champion, Yoshihide Muroya.
This special wing consists of small recessed flaps that function to create a vertical vortex to smooth out turbulence generated by the sides of the vehicle, thereby improving steering response, comfort and stability.
In addition to the new spoiler, Lexus LC Aviation is also equipped with a set of 21-inch double-spoke, 5-spoke wheels with strong black paint. The stunning coupe also has other black paint details such as a large front grille and side air intakes. Even the headlights and taillights changed to clear black.
For the interior, the Japanese automaker designed exclusive Aviation Black leather seats, Alcantara steering wheel, sport gear shift paddles and many other color accents. Customers can choose LC Aviation in three exterior colors: silver, white and black.
No modifications have been made to the powertrain, so the Lexus LC 500 Aviation continues to use a 5.0L V8 engine producing 471 hp, while the LC 500h models are equipped with a 3.5L V6 engine. Combined with 2 electric motors for a total capacity of 354 horsepower.
Lexus will produce only 70 LC Aviation units for the Japanese market alone, sales will begin January 6, 2021.
