Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV 2022 will be equipped with 7 driving modes and an improved Super-All Wheel Control 4-wheel drive system.
Mitsubishi Outlander 2022- the new generation was first launched in February early this year. It is expected that next year, this C-sized SUV will be added a new plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version. However, for the time being, Mitsubishi has continuously released “hidden” images of the Outlander PHEV 2022.
Through these images, it can be seen that the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV 2022 has a design quite similar to the regular version. Specifically, the car is also equipped with a Dynamic Shield front end design with 2 C-shaped chrome strips, extending from the daytime LED positioning lights to the fog lights and embracing the grille.
Next is the main headlight located on the front bumper, designed vertically and divided into 3 floors, including high beams, low beams, fog lights. Located above the headlights and close to the bonnet is a strip of LED daytime running lights and turn signals.
On the side, Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV 2022 will have a prominent ribbed line, extending from the front fender to the rear lights. Next to it is the “muscular” wheel cavity, vertical windows and chrome-plated glass legs embracing the thick D-pillar.
Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV 2022 appears slender LED taillights at the rear, horizontal reflectors, 2 rectangular fake exhaust tips, silver undercarriage like on the front end and roof spoiler with integrated overhead brake lights.
The most obvious difference between the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV 2022 and the regular version lies in the “Plug-in Hybrid EV” and “PHEV” logos as well as the charging port on the right side. The reason is that this model is equipped with a combined transmission system of a gasoline engine and 2 electric motors. It is predicted that the gasoline engine of the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV 2022 will be a 4-cylinder, 2.4L capacity. In addition, there is a 20 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, allowing the car to run 70 km without using a gasoline engine.
In addition, 2 electric motors of Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV 2022 will be located on the front and rear axles, providing an improved Super-All Wheel Control 4-wheel drive system. Mitsubishi promises this model will have better handling, safer cornering and more “eating” brakes. In particular, the rear wheel will come with a unique brake control system, helping to reduce the load on the front wheel.
Moreover, Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV 2022 also has 7 different driving modes, including Normal (normal), Gravel (gravel road), Snow (snow road), Power (powerful) and Eco (economy). Currently, Mitsubishi has not revealed the remaining 2 driving modes of the car. However, it will not be surprising if the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV 2022 has an EV driving mode like the old generation.
As planned, Mitsubishi Outlander 2022 gas-saving version will officially launch in the Japanese market next March. Expectedly, this car will continue to be launched in the US market in the second half of next year.
