New generation Mitsubishi Outlander decided to “defeat” rival Honda CR-V

Removing the conservative shadow on its predecessor, the new generation Mitsubishi Outlander is a design revolution of the Japanese automaker, contributing to raising the Dynamic Shield language to a new level.

Based on the leaked images during the test drive, the Russian site Koaeca.ru has released a detailed sketch of the exterior of the new generation Mitsubishi Outlander. From there, the viewer has an overview of the upcoming 5 + 2 crossover of Japanese car brand, Mitsubishi.

In general, the new generation Mitsubishi Outlander SUV is based on the second generation Dynamic Shield design language with inspiration from the Engelberg Tourer concept. This means that all the details in the exterior to the body of this model are completely different from its predecessor.

The first highlight of the new Mitsubishi Outlander 2022 comes from the front end. The design style of the 2-storey headlight continues to be present on this model with the thin, sharp daytime positioning lights at the top, the main light area is located at the bottom with 3 separate compartments. In the center area is a large black-painted steering wheel face with two bright X-shaped chrome borders. The lower bumper of the new generation Mitsubishi Outlander is streamlined by the manufacturer to give up the maximum space, contributing to simplicity and sophistication in the design.

For the body and rear area, the new generation Mitsubishi Outlander is painted with all the window covers in black. In particular, the top of the C-pillar is also painted black to separate the body area and the hood, bringing a more sporty feel. The rear lights and the entire rear area are designed in a simple but no less modern style.

According to some sources, the new generation Mitsubishi Outlander will be significantly enlarged compared to its predecessor. In addition, the engine and chassis part of this car will almost be used with the “cousin” Nissan X-Trail. This is part of the product development plan of the Mitsubishi-Renault-Nissan alliance.

Expected, the new generation Mitsubishi Outlander will be launched to the public around February 2021.
