Brothers with the Honda Monkey monkey, the Honda Dax is said to be about to re-export with a new look and equipment in 2021.
Honda Dax is one of the famous names in the motorcycle world in the 70s of the last century and not inferior to its brother Honda Monkey. Recently, the Japanese automaker has made a rather mysterious move that many people think that the Honda Dax 125 will return in 2021 with many differences.
According to information, recently Honda has registered a product with the name Honda ST125. With the ST prefix, this is the prefix used for very few Honda models and includes the old Honda Dax models with the names ST50, ST70 or ST90. Therefore, it is very likely that Honda’s newly registered ST125 model will be a brand new version of Honda Dax that will be available in the coming 2021.
Compared to the Monkey, Honda Dax does not use a conventional steel frame, but instead is a whole metal frame with built-in storage compartment for fuel tank. As the name ST125, Honda Dax will be able to use a new 125 cc engine inherited from Honda Monkey. In addition, if the same as before, all the forks, swingarms, rims or brakes will be used again from Honda Monkey.
Currently, the new Honda Monkey uses a 125cc SOHC engine block that integrates electronic fuel injection technology PGM-FI with a 4-speed gearbox. As a result, the Honda Monkey is capable of producing a maximum capacity of 8.9 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 10.5 Nm at 5,500 rpm.
Please wait and see, whether the Honda Dax 125 will be launched in the near future or not and how it looks and equipment.
