British automaker Naran Automotive has just released the first supercar named Naran. This hypercar has a powerful 1,034 horsepower engine and a weight of less than 1,500 kilograms.
British automaker Naran Automotive has just introduced its first supercar, called Naran. The hypercar is inspired by GT3 racing cars, pre-engineered, this is a competitor to McLaren Speedtail or Aston Martin Vulcan.
This super car is limited to 49 units, the first delivery is expected to take place in July 2021. Naran Automotive also announced the starting price of the new supercar is 1 million euros (1.2 million USD). These prices can go higher if buyers want more genuine options.
Unlike most supercars, Naran’s engine is located in the front instead of behind. However, this is exactly the front-middle engine, because it is located behind the front axle, not entirely on it. This gives the car a better mass distribution.
Naran’s “heart” is a 5.0L twin-turbocharged V8 engine, co-developed by German engineering company Racing Dynamics. This engine block produces 1,034 horsepower and 1,036 Nm of torque. Acceleration 0-96 km / h of this super car in just 2.3 seconds, 0-160 km / h in 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 370 km / h.
Power is transmitted to all four wheels in standard driving conditions. Like sports sedans like the new BMW M3 and Mercedes-AMG E 63, Naran also has a setup that sends 100% of power to the rear wheels, which makes the driving experience even more enjoyable.
To withstand the enormous power of the engine, Naran’s chassis has many motorsport-like components, lightweight 22-inch carbon hybrid wheels, dual wishbone suspension and dampers.
Braking system includes large carbon ceramic brakes and race car brace. In addition, the anti-roll bar and swingarm of the car can be adjusted manually.
In addition to the engine’s unusual placement, Naran’s design follows the traditional hypercar rules. The nose is low, the tail is wide open and the rear wing is huge. The British automaker says most of the bodywork is made of carbon fiber and natural flax, helping to weigh less than 1,500 kg.
Naran Automotive also claims that the spoiler and body details are not just decorative, it creates 1,377 kg of air force on the road surface when running at high speed, more than the GT3 race car.
In addition, the company also offers many options for this super car, from personalized paint, exterior decoration as well as materials upholstery in the cabin. If you can afford it, you can order a car with its own name engraved.
Naran Automotive was founded by Indian businessman, Zimbabwe Ahmeer Naran, with the support of former Jaguar Land Rover engineer Steve Pegg and auto designer Jowyn Wong, who is famous for his Apollo IE research.
