Silence S04 is expected to launch in 2022 with a cheap starting price, suitable for most buyers.
Ultra-small urban electric cars are an increasingly exciting segment in Europe, and recently, a Spanish company called Silence has introduced the S04 model. It is an all-electric four-wheeler, adding to the current lineup of electric scooters including the S01, S02, and S03. This cute, little car features a convenient swappable battery pack, making it a practical solution for zero-emissions driving in the city.
As the images here show, Silence S04 is tiny in size at just 2.33 meters long and 1.56 meters wide, allowing for easy maneuvering and parking on the busy streets of cities. big. Its design looks quite modern with impressive LED headlights and black plastic cladding integrated on the fenders and bumpers.
Inside, the car has two seats and 310 liters of luggage space. Standard equipment includes automatic windows, air conditioning and ABS, while users can get in and start the car keyless via their smartphone
The S04 will be offered in two variants carrying different capacities and battery capacities. The first version will be classified as a light 4-wheeler L6e with an 8-horsepower electric motor, a limited top speed of 45 km/h and a 5.6 kWh battery pack. This classification allows the user to drive the S04 with an e-bike license from the age of 15 in Spain.
The second variant will be classified as the L7e heavy four-wheeler with an electric motor of 19 hp, allowing it to reach a top speed of 90 km/h. Meanwhile, the dual battery pack with a total capacity of 11.2 kWh is capable of operating well within a range of 149 km according to WMTC standards.
In both versions, the battery packs are removable, so they can be replaced with a fully charged battery at one of Silence’s battery exchange stations for a monthly subscription fee. The battery pack is also attached to the stroller so S04 users will be able to charge it at home or at work.
Silence S04 is designed, developed and manufactured in Barcelona, Spain. The company has not revealed an official market launch date but the first cars are rumored to hit the road in mid-2022 with prices starting around 7,500 euros
