ŠKODA AUTO and ČEZ Solarní have teamed up to install solar panels on the roof of the Service Center in Kosmonosy, near the company’s headquarters in Mladá Boleslav. ČEZ Solarní a subsidiary of the energy service provider ČEZ ESCO and the energy supplier ŠKO-ENERGO. The panels on the complex building overall span more than 2,200 m2.
This system will generate more than 450 MWh of peak stable energy per year. Thanks to this new system of photovoltaic modules, the car factory in Kosmonosy will be provided with 25% of its electricity needs. In the company’s GreenFuture plan, this is also a strategic plan. ŠKODA AUTO applies the GreenFuture plan to all its environmental problems.
