Yamaha MT-07 Introducing – 2021

Yamaha’s mid-size nakedbike model is upgraded in terms of design, equipment and engine refinement to meet new European emissions standards.

After the release of the new generation MT-09, Yamaha continues to introduce the 2021 MT-07 in Europe. Similar to “elder”, the middle size nakedbike model in Japan is upgraded in design, features and engine parameters.

The overall design of the 2021 Yamaha MT-07 changes in a stronger and more aggressive direction than the old version. In particular, the most significant change is the projector lamp cluster with 2 positioning LED strips. The rear lights and LED turn indicators also have a sharper appearance.

The frame structure has no significant new points. The 2021 Yamaha MT-07 has a weight of 184 kg when filled with fuel, an increase of 5 kg over the previous model. Seat height remains at 805 mm and the fuel tank has a capacity of 14 liters.

Yamaha says the new MT-07 has an enlarged 30 mm handlebar, making the control posture more comfortable. The suspension system of the MT-07 2021 has no upgrades, the front is still hydraulic, the rear is a single cylinder with adjustable hardness.

The front double disc brake cluster is now larger, reaching 298 mm in diameter. 245 mm brake discs in the back are kept the same parameters. Comes with that is a 2-channel ABS anti-lock braking system.

The digital dashboard has a new, more intuitive look. The rpm range is displayed above, in the center is the speed while the digital position indicator is in the right corner.

The 2-cylinder engine on the 2021 MT-07 still has a capacity of 689 cc. To meet Euro 5 emissions standards, this machine has been tweaked, with a maximum power of 72.3 hp at 8,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 67 Nm at 6,500 rpm. . In the previous generation, the MT-07 had parameters of 73.7 hp and 68 Nm. The gearbox is a 6-speed manual clutch

Yamaha MT-07 competes with the Honda CB650R and Triumph Trident 660. The suggested price for the 2021 model increases slightly by $ 100, at $ 7,599.
